Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Charlie Hutcherson governing your use of Categories Draft 20 (the "app"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Who can use the app

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these without a parent or guardian, you need their consent to use the app.

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. One account per person — creating extra accounts to manipulate leaderboards or matchmaking isn't allowed.

Report a problem

Tell us your username, device model, app version and what happened. A screenshot can help. Never send your password or verification codes.

Community safety

Use the report and block controls in the app to flag inappropriate content or players. You can also contact us by email.

Account access

Use Forgot Password on the sign-in screen to reset your password. For deletion instructions, visit account help.

It cannot currently be purchased with real money, cannot be redeemed, exchanged, cashed out, or transferred for real money, goods, or prizes of any kind, and has no value outside the app. Categories Draft 20 is a skill-based social drafting game, not a game of chance played for real-world stakes.

Fair play

Play fair. Don't use bots, scripts, or automation to play on your behalf outside of the app's own built-in Bot opponent mode; don't exploit bugs instead of reporting them; don't collude with another account to manipulate results, leaderboards, or streaks; and don't harass, impersonate, or abuse other players.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules, remove affected results from leaderboards, and take any other reasonable step to keep matches fair for everyone else.

Content you submit

This includes your profile photo and bio, community draft posts, comments, votes and reactions.

You keep ownership of what you submit, but you grant us a license to store, display, and distribute it within the app (for example, showing your avatar to opponents, or publishing a category you generated so other players can draft it).

Don't submit anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing on someone else's rights, or otherwise inappropriate for the game. Comments are held for moderation. Use the report and block controls to flag abuse. We may reject, edit or remove content that breaks these rules.

Intellectual property

The app's design, code, name, and logo belong to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms gives you rights to our branding beyond normal use of the app itself.

Ending your access

You can stop using the app any time, and you can permanently delete your account yourself from Settings → Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for an extended period, or where we've discontinued the app or a feature.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times — it's an independently built app, not an enterprise service with uptime guarantees.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the "last updated" date whenever these Terms change, and post the new version here and in-app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
